Something I'm Working On

Another drawing I've done. This will eventually be for something I'm working on with Rikki Hewitt. It's just an image I found in a photography book of 1940's New York and I thought it was quite interesting. He was a midget from a circus I think.

Another Sketchbook Page

Here's another page from my sketchbook. I'm pretty pleased with this one. It took me ages as the photograph I used as a reference wasn't particularly great, which made it difficult. Not too sure how much further I could take this one, unless, I add it to other drawings I've done on a similar subject and then work into it a bit more with paint or ink, but still, it's been good practice. It becomes quite abstract in places, which was intentional, I think it makes it more interesting, when you begin to pick out features you didn't initially see.

These are a couple of pages from my sketchbook I've started. I'm just aiming to keep drawing as much as possible, and hopefully some ideas will come along for new work. I plan to turn some of the drawings into a mixture of prints and paintings eventually, but for now, just enjoy drawing and see what happens.
