Ian Francis Influenced Experiments



I have recently been inspired by Ian Francis' experimental work on his blog. He experiments with distortion in photography and then draws the outcome so I thought I'd try it myself.
Materials: white pencil, charcoal, pencil and Photoshop (on the top one).

    These are beautiful Paul. I've tried this technique before, have you tried scanning photos with objects on and moving them to distort them?

    These are well good! The second is my fav :) what did you use the photoshop for on the first one?

    Thanks emma. Well I inverted the photo and drew it from the inverted version, then I scanned the drawing in and inverted it back, and then used the 'solarise' filter. It was really complicated to work out!!
