'When The Levee Breaks'

A few images from a book project in which I focussed on the Led Zeppelin song 'When The Levee Breaks'. I focussed more on creating an atmosphere of the 'Deep South' for the lyrics rather than to directly illustrate what the words were saying. To create these I used a surface of old, found book pages, coffee, ink and bleach. The images are pencil drawn, and further detailed in ink.
